The hotel, One Aldwych, is located where the Strand meets the Aldwych directly opposite Waterloo bridge. The hotel is 4 minutes walk from Temple station and 8 minutes walk from Covent Garden. It is also close to Embankment and Charing Cross stations. See map below.


You don't need to be a member to take lessons here. But for your practice you will need access to a pool.
If you are looking for somewhere to practice ask us about our Sunday practices passes where you may hire a lane at our other pool in the City (near Bank/Liverpool Street tubes).

Mornings - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 0815-1200
Evenings - Monday to Thursday 1700-2100.

This pool is a little deeper than our city venue which is around 1.5m. It is still standing depth (just, for most people), but if you are new to swimming you may want to have a look at our other venues all of which are a comfortable standing depth (1.2m).

on arrival

Walk through the Lobby heading right towards the hotel reception. To the right of reception are the lifts and stairs. Take the stairs down and follow the signs to the Health Club reception.

At the health club reception let them know that you have a lesson with Immerse. They will provide you with a towel and direct you to the changing rooms. The lockers use a fancy keypad system. To set your pin and lock, hit "c", then your four digit pin followed by the lock key. To unlock enter the same as to lock i.e. "c" then your four digit pin and the lock key.

what to bring

Swimsuit (one piece swimsuit preferred for women)
Goggles (you may borrow these for the first lesson or ask us for advice on buying some)
Pool shoes (recommended to avoid slips)

The changing rooms have all the usual facilities including hairdryers.
